Short history of CINEMAGIC Festival
Festival received recognition among audience but as well amid professionals. Many of worldwide fame film personages came for Cinemagic.pl organizers invitation, including hundreds of actors who inspite of working hard found time to visit festival and add wonderful splendour to it.
International Film Festival Cinemagic.pl is signed as a stable Płock's cultural event. At previous editions of festival took place presentations of Oscar's winners like Alan Starski, Ewa Braun, authors of "Peter and theWolf" and also Vladimir Menshov, director and actor, 1979 Oscar winner for "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears".
At music concerts concomitant to festival performed Chuck Mangione - author of music to Hall Bartlett's "Children of Sanchez", Anja Garbarek - vocalist who composed soundtrack for "Angel-A"; directed by Luc Besson, Des Orient - Michał Lorenc's band nominated for Oscar for music of Bob Rafelson's "Blood and Wine", Cechomor - group which composes music for Peter Zelanka movies, Emir Kusturica with his band The No Smoking Orchestra and Al Di Meola - one of the best jazz guitarists in the world. Popular points of festival are presentations and meetings with authors of well known polish tv series like "The Clan", "Ranczo" or "Halo Hans".
From 2007 very important part of our festival are artist's jubilees. Up to now on festival was Gustaw Holoubek's - 60 years of artistic work benefit, Krzysztof Zanussi's - 50 years of artistic work benefit and Jan Nowicki's - 45 years of artistic work benefit.
